tools that help students bridge the gap between where they are and where they want to go. My classroom is a safe space. A student’s sense of self is key in unlocking their potential; and safety is the key to self. I believe in creating an environment of inclusivity. The most powerful educational tool is giving students the confidence to take an active role in the trajectory of their education and to advocate for themselves. This is why I’m a socratic and constructivist instructor. Without learning how to cherish failure you cannot hope to learn to fly. My classroom is a community; and we uplift our uniqueness. In developing an understanding beyond ourselves we will make mistakes.
